Request account and data deletion
For Waiti customers and Waiti Driver app users. You can request deletion even when you cannot sign in to the app.
Request deletion by emailOr write to support@waiti.org with the subject “Waiti account deletion request”.
- Include the registered phone number and account type: Customer or Operator. Do not send identity documents or photographs.
- The Waiti team verifies account ownership before closure. Sending an email alone does not authorize anyone to change your account.
- Keep the request reference when you receive it, and use it in the same support email thread to follow up on closure and erasure.
Delivery of your email or receipt of a request reference does not mean that the account has been closed or the data erased. We will explain the request status and provide actual confirmation when processing is complete.
From inside the app
In the updated version, open Profile, then Account & privacy, then Delete account. Opening the page does not submit a request. Review your account and its actual status, type the displayed account-deletion confirmation phrase, then press the confirmation button. Going back or cancelling does not submit a request; nor does the keyboard’s Enter key. A new login code is requested only when recent authentication has expired. You do not have to complete photo verification or accept new terms to access this service. When you cannot sign in, choose Help or use the email address above.
Account closure disables access and sessions. It does not automatically cancel an active delivery, dispute or financial obligation. Associated cases are reviewed without bypassing their rules.
What is deleted, and when?
Eligible data includes account, contact, order, location and verification-document information, security records and account-related backups. It is erased without unnecessary delay and no later than 90 days after actual account closure, not after the request is sent.
The exception applies only to records specifically covered by an active, documented legal hold, or an unresolved financial obligation for which necessary retention is legally justified. Those records remain restricted only until the retention reason ends. This does not extend the erasure deadline for other eligible data.
You may ask support to explain your request’s status, the excepted data and why it remains restricted. The person responsible for Waiti’s data: Mohammed Mahyoub.
